Wight and Menard called the action together on Dark: Elevation.

While AEW’s Dark and Dark: Elevation shows were still in operation, there were a rotating cast of commentators throughout different points since the inception of both shows.

Towards the back end of Dark: Elevation, Paul Wight and ‘Daddy Magic’ Matt Menard were on the call. Wight expressed how much he enjoyed working with Menard while on Mark Andrews’ My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast. He added that he’d like to do more with him on commentary.

I had a lot of fun working with Daddy Magic. In a perfect world, I’d like to work with him again on some commentary. He was so much fun to work with. It was a little chaotic, but, I think that was the one thing that Daddy Magic and I had when was did (AEW Dark) Elevation was we had a good time.

Menard is going to be featured on the August 9th Dynamite. Members of the Jericho Appreciation Society are having a mandatory meeting. Chris Jericho’s involvement with Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita is the reason for the meeting being set up.

Oh man I completely forgot Big Show was even there. Poor guy couldn’t figure out how to use the scale for that Cody weigh-in and has been banished to YouTube commentary ever since.

I love how you still call him Big Show.

I mean, I can’t blame him. He went by Big Show from 1999-2021, when someone goes by a name for 22 years, you’re just conditioned at that point.

Yeah, I get you. I just feel like at some point one has to move on from it.

He was on Rampage this past week, calling the Parking Lot Fight alongside Tony Schiavone. First appearance in a while I recall him having (maybe since the Double or Nothing Zero Hour?).

More Daddy Magic, the better to me.
