POST IT NOTES
**On Rewind-A-Raw, Wai Ting and I have a big review of Raw from Kansas City and how the show performed coming off the AEW show this past weekend. Plus, we went through all the Jon Moxley news from the past two days, the announcement of Starrcast III, the fallout from Double or Nothing, AEW’s open doors towards the media at Saturday’s show, and Taka Michinoku being removed from the Best of the Super Juniors tournament.
**Wai and I will be back with Rewind-A-SmackDown tonight to review the show from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
**On Wednesday, we will be releasing our next POST PROFILE BONUS Interview from the Owen Hart audio documentary. Wednesday’s interview for Patrons will be with Jason King, who was a reporter with the Kansas City Star in 1999 and attended Over the Edge at Kemper Arena that night. We will release the Heath McCoy interview this Sunday on the POST Wrestling Café.
**Also, on Wednesday, we will have The Double Shot reviewing several Starrcast panels. Wai and I will be chatting about The Young Bucks & Cody, Arn Anderson, Dustin Rhodes, and Brian Pillman Tribute panels among our reviews.

WRESTLING NEWS
**AJ Styles is dealing with an injury and led to the changes involving Baron Corbin on Raw. Corbin is currently set for the Universal title match against Seth Rollins at Super Showdown next week in Saudi Arabia. They had started a program involving Styles and Corbin last week on television with Styles slapping Corbin and followed up with an attack in the trainer’s room on Monday night. Styles has been removed from WWE’s live event advertising for the next month and is not listed for another show until June 27th when they go to Singapore. Styles is still listed for the Super Showdown, although that appears unlikely given Corbin has been booked in another match and nothing has been set up for him.
Fightful reported that Styles addressed the injury on his MIXER channel, citing an issue with his AC joint and attributing the injury to wear and tear that he is hopeful won’t keep him out long and is not a major injury.
**The SmackDown and 205 Live tapings take place from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma tonight and they have announced the following for the show:
*Kofi Kingston vs. Kevin Owens
*Bayley vs. Lacey Evans
*Dolph Ziggler on the Kevin Owens Show
**During the Canadian broadcast of Raw on Sportsnet 360, they ran an ad promoting Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton for the Stomping Grounds pay-per-view on June 23rd in Tacoma, Washington.
**While Lance Anoa’i had appeared on MLW events as recently as WrestleMania weekend, he was not under contract to the group and therefore, had no issues appearing on Raw for the match with Shane McMahon.
**Roman Reigns recently spoke to Phillip Martinez of Newsweek regarding his return earlier this year, feuding with Shane McMahon, and also discussed his feelings on the WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia and upcoming event. Reigns, who is scheduled to face Shane McMahon next week in Jeddah, provided the following answer regarding his stance about working the event:
It gets a lot of mixed and negative reactions. The bottom line for me is, if we’re going to help promote change, if we’re going to set out to make an impact than I have to be a part of it. I’m not going to sit on the sideline and talk about how we can get there. I want to be a part of the action. I look at it as being a part of the solution while still respecting cultures, but it’s a big world and I want to experience all of it. So if we can help make a positive impact that’s what we’re here to do. We’re here to put smiles on everyone’s faces. We don’t discriminate, that’s our goal to help and promote positivity and take that to every inch of the world.
**The Best of the Super Juniors tournament resumes Wednesday in Aichi with a show streaming at 5 am Eastern on New Japan World. Due to Taka Michinoku’s injury, there will only be four tournament matches on the card with the following scheduled:
*SHO vs. Titan
*Taiji Ishimori vs. Tiger Mask
*Shingo Takagi vs. Jonathan Gresham
*Dragon Lee vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru
**Taka Michinoku was scheduled to face Marty Scurll, who will get two points with the forfeit.
**Dustin Rhodes required eight stitches after the match with Cody at Double or Nothing.
**In the A Block, it is down to Shingo Takagi and Taiji Ishimori, who will face each other on Friday’s show. Takagi is undefeated at 7-0 with 14 points in the tournament and Ishimori is 6-1 with a loss to Yoshinobu Kanemaru. The injury to Michinoku makes no difference as his forfeit losses were to Dragon Lee, Scurll, and Kanemaru, who are all out. The B Block has a four-way tie involving Will Ospreay, El Phantasmo, Robbie Eagles, and Ryusuke Taguchi at 10 points each. The following B Block matches are scheduled for Thursday’s card in Osaka:
*Ren Narita vs. YOH
*Bandido vs. Robbie Eagles
*Rocky Romero vs. Bushi
*Will Ospreay vs. Douki
*El Phantasmo vs. Ryusuke Taguchi (the loser will be eliminated)
**This Saturday’s NXT TakeOver event at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut will feature five matches, beginning at 7 pm Eastern. They have also announced a pre-show at 6:30 pm and below is the full lineup:
*Johnny Gargano vs. Adam Cole for the NXT title
*Shayna Baszler vs. Io Shirai for the NXT women’s title
*Velveteen Dream vs. Tyler Breeze for the NXT North American title
*Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish vs. The Street Profits vs. Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan vs. Forgotten Sons in a Ladder match for the vacant NXT tag titles
*Matt Riddle vs. Roderick Strong
**The final episode of NXT leading into TakeOver will feature the following matches on Wednesday night:
*Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler vs. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch
*KUSHIDA vs. Drew Gulak
*Bianca Belair vs. Mia Yim
**MLW has announced the signing of Flamita, who will be debuting against Rey Horus on the Fury Road event this Saturday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They will be live on beIN Sports that night at 9 pm Eastern with the following matches on the special:
*Teddy Hart vs. Jimmy Havoc for the MLW middleweight title
*Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Alex Hammerstone in the finals of the National Openweight title tournament
*Myron Reed vs. Gringo Loco
**Smash Wrestling out of Toronto is running their annual Northern Tournament this weekend with shows Saturday and Sunday at the Franklin Horner Community Centre in Etobicoke. The big name coming is Ultimo Dragon, who will take on Matt Cross on Saturday’s show along with the following tournament matches: Sebastian Suave vs. LuFisto, Tyson Dux vs. Carter Mason, Mike Bailey vs. John Greed, Mike Rollins vs. The Blade, Stu Grayson vs. Josh Briggs, Evil Uno vs. Anthony Greene, and Jason Kincaid vs. Jim Stryder. The semi-finals and finals take place on Sunday’s event at 5 pm along with Tarik defending the Smash championship against Kevin Bennett.
**David Bixenspan reviews Saturday’s Double or Nothing card and what was achieved with Saturday’s mission statement.
**The Corner Podcast, which is hosted by Andreas Hale and Kel Dansby, held an interesting panel at Starrcast assessing race, gender, and minority representation within professional wrestling. The panel also featured Marti Belle, Kenny King, Willie Mack, Chris Bey, and former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide. The entire panel has been posted on YouTube.
**The WWE has announced two shows for Spain later this year. They will be in Madrid on November 9th at the Vistalegre Palace and November 10th in Seville at the San Pablo Sports Center. The advertising for the shows lists Roman Reigns, New Day, Becky Lynch, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rusev, Charlotte Flair, Finn Balor, Carmella, Elias, Asuka, and Bayley.
