**The WWE SummerSlam POST Show is available on the main page with Wai Ting & I spending two-hours discussing the SummerSlam event, breaking down each match and directions moving forward, plus Wai’s spontaneous drive to Montreal, and my encounter with the greatest chicken sandwich in Canada. **Wai Ting and I are back tonight with Rewind-A-Raw to chat about Raw from Brooklyn, and we will also go through the card lineups that New Japan Pro Wrestling has released for September.

**The Marvel reviews that Wai and I began earlier this year will continue this Friday with a review if the 2008 film “Ironman” starring Robert Downey Jr.

WRESTLING NEWS
**Tonight’s episode of Raw takes place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn with the WWE’s third of four consecutive nights in Brooklyn, wrapping up with Tuesday night’s SmackDown & 205 Live tapings.
Brock Lesnar is scheduled for tonight’s show and a likely indication of where they are head with regards to his immediate future. If Lesnar is going away to prepare for a fight next year in the UFC, the idea of having him wrestle on tonight’s show could be the time to do it. Lesnar has never fought on television since his return to the company in April 2012 and I always thought it would mean something when he eventually did. The options would be for either Roman Reigns or Braun Strowman to face Lesnar, in the case of the latter, I do feel Strowman needs to look strong tonight against Lesnar, even if it is just an angle.
The company has a lot of shows to promote over the next two months with the next big show being Hell in a Cell on September 16th in San Antonio, Texas. In October, they have the Super Show-Down event on October 6th and the Evolution card on October 28th.
Ronda Rousey will be on the show tonight and be setting up a match with Nikki Bella. Over the weekend, Dave Meltzer at the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that is the planned main event for Evolution. If so, it would make sense to shoot an angle tonight with the two. It would make sense to announce the match this early because The Bella Twins will be likely be doing lots of media ahead of the Total Divas returning next month and they can push the Evolution match throughout their media tour.
**Netflix has renewed the popular series, “GLOW” for a third season on the streaming service. The series, created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, premiered in June 2017 starring Alison Brie, Marc Maron, and Betty Gilpin. It was based off the popular 80’s series of the same name, which had a renewed buzz of popularity following a documentary in 2012 on the series. The first season of GLOW generated 10 Emmy nominations, including a nomination for best comedy and best supporting actress for Betty Gilpin. Professional wrestlers Carlito, Alex Riley, John Hennigan, Chavo Guerrero Jr., and Tyrus have been featured in cameo roles on the series as well.
**New Japan Pro Wrestling has released the entire lineups for the Destruction tour in September, highlighted by major shows in Hiroshima, Beppu, and Kobe. The tour begins September 5th and unlike past years where the Destruction shows were minor, they have loaded the deck this year with major matches spread out. The two biggest being Kenny Omega vs. Tomohiro Ishii in Hiroshima on September 15th and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada on September 23rd in Kobe with the Wrestle Kingdom title shot at stake. Most assumed these matches would be saved for King of Pro Wrestling in October when they return to Sumo Hall, but they will be spread out on this tour. A singles match between Minoru Suzuki and Tetsuya Naito will headline the September 17th card in Beppu. They have also stripped Hiromi Takahashi of the IWGP junior heavyweight title due to his injury and the title will be put up in a four-man tournament. It begins on September 23rd with KUSHIDA facing Bushi and continues September 30th in Long Beach with Will Ospreay vs. Marty Scurll and the winners meet at King of Pro Wrestling October 8th. On the tour, they will run two straight nights at Korakuen Hall on September 7th and 8th and the first night at Korakuen features Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi vs. Tomohiro Ishii & Will Ospreay.
**Matt Riddle will be working one more outside date with the announcement that he will be part of the PROGRESS Wrestling card at Wembley Arena on Sunday, September 30th but they haven’t announced an opponent yet. On Riddle’s signing with the WWE, his wife Lisa posted a video on the weekend detailing the signing process. She noted that they were contacted by the president of New Japan Pro Wrestling (presumably Harold Meij, although his name wasn’t mentioned) and was asked about coming to work for them. Riddle contacted Gabe Sapolsky and led to Paul Levesque calling Riddle and at the end of their conversation offered Riddle a deal. The video was quickly pulled down but Pro Wrestling Sheet saw it prior.
**Natalya returned at SummerSlam on Sunday and was in Ronda Rousey’s corner for her match with Alexa Bliss. Natalya came out wearing her late father’s ring jacket that he wore at SummerSlam 1990 when the Hart Foundation defeated Demolition in a 2/3 falls match to win the WWF tag titles in Philadelphia.
**EC 3 posted a photo after his TakeOver match with Velveteen Dream and his right eye looked terrible. The injury is believed to have taken place during the twisting DDT onto the ramp near the beginning of the match.
**Impact Wrestling has announced that their next set of television tapings will be taking place from Mexico City on Thursday, September 13th, and Friday, September 14th from the Fronton Mexico venue. The building opened in 1929 and was shut down for two decades due to a worker’s strike and reopened in 2017 with the arena being updated. This should ensure some very hot crowds in Mexico and the venue can hold approximately 4,200 for its events, depending on the production set up Impact uses. The press release noted that Impact would be working with their partners in AAA and their Mexican broadcaster 52MX for the tapings. The tapings from Mexico will begin airing the following week.
**After his star-making performance at “Joey Janela’s Lost in New York” show on Friday, 22-year old Marko Stunt has been booked for the Over Budget Battle Royal at “All In” on September 1st.
**MLW has announced that Abyss will be the fifth member of Sami Callihan’s team for the War Games match on September 6th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Callihan and Abyss will be joined by Jimmy Havoc and The Death Machines to take on John Hennigan, Tommy Dreamer, Shane Strickland, Kotto Brazil & Barrington Hughes in the match.
**Ring of Honor has announced that Sanada is working the September 29th television tapings in Las Vegas at the Orleans Arena and joins KUSHIDA and EVIL.
**There is a busy schedule of shows this weekend in Toronto with the following cards taking place:
*Saturday, August 25th – Destiny Wrestling at the Don Kolov Arena (4880 Tomken Road) with Sami Callihan vs. Josh Alexander in a steel cage match
*Sunday, August 26th – Smash Wrestling at The Phoenix Concert Theatre with Jeff Cobb vs. PCO vs. Brody King, Joey Janela vs. Tyson Dux, Tessa Blanchard vs. Vanessa Kraven
*Monday, August 27th – WWE Raw at the Scotiabank Arena
*Tuesday, August 28th – WWE SmackDown & 205 Live at the Scotiabank Arena
**NXT has announced live events for October 11th in Saint Charles, Missouri, October 12th in Southaven, Mississippi, and October 13th in Owensboro, Kentucky.
**In a trivia note, last night’s SummerSlam was the first one John Cena has missed since the 2003 card in Phoenix.
**The WWE stock opened at $79.75 and closed at $80.36 on Monday.
