John Pollock and Wai Ting review the fifth Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).

We discuss Marvel’s surprising decision to hire Chris Evans for the role, the concept of using science to enhance muscle mass, the special effects used to create a scrawny, pre-serum Steve Rogers, as well as the performances of Hayley Atwell, Tommy Lee Jones and Hugo Weaving.

Synopsis from IMDb:

Steve Rogers, a rejected military soldier transforms into Captain America after taking a dose of a “Super-Soldier serum”. But being Captain America comes at a price as he attempts to take down a war monger and a terrorist organization.

John, I know how you feel with Max not wanting to stay asleep, but don’t let him sleep in your bed. It might be hard to say no and sounds a little cruel but don’t start that trend! I have so many friends who have done that and they are really regretting it now. We avoided that with our son and he sleeps in his own bed every night with no problems.

I love any Dad talk cause I can relate. Especially with having another one on the way for us.
