** While chatting with WhatCulture Wrestling, Big E shared that he relayed to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods that if they wanted to add a fill-in third member to their team, they could but both Woods and Kingston turned that down.
Yeah, yeah, it’s a long time (that New Day’s been in WWE). We are old, our hairlines don’t look the same (he laughed). But yeah, it’s been quite the journey and we thought — for like a year or so, we’ve been kind of eyeing the 10 years and it’s not the same. I’m not around and I told those guys too, as long as I’m out, please don’t feel like you’re beholden to me. My voice comes on at the beginning of the song every time and I’m not around and I don’t know if that’s fair to those guys and hey, if you need a fill-in with a third, feel free to but, they’re always so adamant about like, ‘Nah, nah, nah. This is the group’ and I appreciate them dearly for that…
** Part two of Tama Tonga’s appearance on Midnight Wrestle & Kingdom was released and he looked back on his exit from BULLET CLUB.
Being in BULLET CLUB for so long, I think I got tired of the same thing and so going into the main team, being a babyface was something new, refreshing. So, it kind of felt like I was starting over again but, in a good way… in a different lane I would think.
** As Roderick Strong was being interviewed by Phil Strum for the Under the Ring podcast, he spoke about training under Jim Neidhart and mentioned that he wishes he got to share the ring with T.J. Wilson.
TJ’s an amazing person as well. Grateful, obviously met him through the wrestling business but, just to know them (Hart family) and the attachment and everything. He’s one that I never got to work with that I really, you know, wish I could have because he’s got a great brain and he could get it done.
** Tokyo Sports conducted an interview with Hiromu Takahashi. He touched on his acting credits as a part of the ‘Kamen Rider’ series. Takahashi hopes to continue working on his acting and wants to get as good as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
I’d like to put some more effort into that (acting) and become as good as The Rock (Dwayne Johnson).
** There’s a write-up from Darby Allin that The Players’ Tribune published. Allin wrote about the friendship he’s developed with Sting during their time together in AEW. Here’s an excerpt from Allin’s article:
Before the match, I’m going to tell Sting the same thing I’ve been telling him this whole time — which is HAVE FUN. That’s it. That’s the one rule. Nothing else matters. After the match, I’m going to tell him the only thing there’s left to say: Thank you. I didn’t just get to meet a hero, I got to find out he’s a hero worth having. It was an honor, truly. It’s been the time of my life. To paraphrase Tony Schiavone — It’s fucking Sting.
