POST Schedule: G1 coverage, Gridiron Gang, WWE Q2 Earnings, UFC 240 & more

This week at POST Wrestling, the G1 Climax has a slower week with one show on Wednesday before back-to-back cards this weekend. John Pollock & Wai Ting will have reviews of each G1 Climax card on those days for members of the POST Wrestling Café.

Tonight, John & Wai will have a big edition of Rewind-A-Raw following the special edition of Raw from Tampa and catching up on the latest news.

On the Café Hangout this Thursday, Brandon Howard Thurston will return to the show as the WWE releases its second-quarter earnings report. We will chat with Brandon about the highs and lows from the quarter, the business of WrestleMania season and subjects addressed on the conference call that day.

Martin Bushby & Benno will back on the British Wrestling Experience this Wednesday to discuss the end of Fighting Spirit Magazine, the involvement of Will Ospreay & Zack Sabre Jr. in the G1, the recent NXT UK tapings, New Japan’s Royal Quest card next month, and lots more.

Nate Milton will be joined by Marcus Vanderberg and Mike Mills on The Rocky Maivia Picture Show for a review of ‘Gridiron Gang’ starring Dwayne Johnson.

Plus, Rewind-A-Wai #41 is out Friday with a review of New Japan’s February 2018 card in Melbourne, Australia and where the company was 18 months ago. We will be joined by Espresso Executive Producer Chris Thunder to chat about the show and the wrestling scene in Australia.

My reaction when the topic being covered on Rewind-A-Wai is less than 5 years ago:

I want a WCW review so bad. I feel like someone is going to pick a fucking 2019 show before that, at this point.

I would really enjoy anything WCW too. Back in the Review-A-Wai days, their review on Sin 2001 was a sleeper for one of their best Review-A-Wai shows ever. I think they may have only done two WCW reviews since they started Post Wrestling. One was a 1997 show, but I forgot which one it was. Maybe Uncensored. The other was a few weeks back when they reviewed a Raw and Nitro from the same week in 1998.

It’s because a lot of fans are too young to remember WCW
