This week at POST Wrestling, we continue with a full schedule of shows and several reviews and interviews planned.
This Tuesday, Rewind-A-Wai goes back to Thanksgiving Night 1983 for the inaugural Starrcade event from the Greensboro Coliseum. Jim Crockett Promotions launched the franchise with Harley Race defending the NWA heavyweight championship against Ric Flair on a show that also featured the Dog Collar Match between Greg Valentine and Roddy Piper, as well as The Briscos defending the NWA tag titles against Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood. This show will be available for members of the POST Wrestling Café.
That same day, Andrew Thompson will have an interview on the site with rising star Scotty Davis of OTT in Ireland.
Wai Ting and I will go LIVE this Thursday at 3 pm Eastern with the Café Hangout to discuss the latest news and may have a guest on the show as well.
The British Wrestling Experience returns on Friday as Jamesie & Benno will be joined by Joe Lemon of the GRAPPL Spotlight podcast to review the ROH Unified card from August 2006. The show took place in Liverpool with Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness unifying the ROH and Pure championships. The rest of this show includes Austin Aries & Roderick Strong vs. The Briscoes, Robbie Brookside vs. Chad Collyer, Doug Williams & Jody Fleisch vs. Go Shiosaki & SUWA, and more.
On Rewind-A-SmackDown, Wai Ting and I will review the latest episode of Dark Side of the Ring covering the case of Jimmy Snuka and the death of girlfriend Nancy Argentino in May 1983.
This weekend, Nate Milton returns with the latest edition of The Rocky Maivia Picture Show with a review of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island – and it’s the series-finale of Thunderstruck as I’ll be on the show with WH Park to discuss Jushin Thunder Liger’s retirement week with two matches at the Tokyo Dome and his retirement ceremony at New Year Dash that we both attended.
