POST WRESTLING CAFÉ
This week, members of the POST Wrestling Café will be receiving Rewind-A-Wai #74 on Tuesday evening.
Wai Ting and I will be traveling back to the night of January 4, 2010, when TNA Impact went head-to-head with WWE RAW, as selected by Espresso Executive Producer Chris Thunder.
This show featured the TNA debuts of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, Jeff Hardy & many others. We’ll discuss the strategy of running a three-hour show head-to-head with Bret Hart’s return to the WWE after a 12-year hiatus since the Survivor Series in 1997.
Plus, it’s a big breakdown of TNA in 2010 from the creative direction, the talent choices, and how they capitalized after this Monday night special that generated their highest audience for any episode of Impact.
Then, we will review Bret Hart’s return to the WWE and his segments with Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon in Dayton, Ohio that night.
Later this week, we will have Rewind-A-SmackDown LIVE at 10:15 pm Eastern for all Café members. This is always a fun show with a review of SmackDown followed by open phone lines to discuss any subjects you’d like.
MATT TAVEN
On Tuesday, Andrew Thompson will be releasing his latest interview chatting with former ROH champion Matt Taven and getting a sense of how ROH has adapted to the COVID era of wrestling with their tapings over the past few months, and much more.
BRITISH WRESTLING EXPERIENCE
On Thursday, the BWE returns as Martin Bushby & Benno will be joined by Ian Hamilton of Back Body Drop & 411 Wrestling.
The three will discuss the big WALTER vs. Ilja Dragunov match from NXT UK, Rev Pro’s Epic Encounter 4, the passing of Ryan Smile, Will Ospreay’s heel turn in New Japan and the formation of The Empire, and a discussion on Tracy Smothers and his many trips to the UK.
