Hobbs states that it’s Khan company and he’s speaking his mind.
Going into the ‘Homecoming’ episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan took to social media and expressed his displeasure with the reactions to HOOK staking claim to an AEW World Title match in comparison to Jinder Mahal getting a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Adrian Hernandez conducted an interview with AEW’s Powerhouse Hobbs and he shared his thoughts about Khan’s tweeting. Hobbs stated that it’s Khan’s company and he’s speaking his mind.
It’s his company, he believes in us and you know, if you believe in something, speak your mind (Hobbs’ reaction to Tony Khan’s tweets). If you’re 100 percent sure on it, speak your mind. If you’re 99 percent sure on it, don’t speak on it. But he’s 100 percent sure on it and he’s speaking his mind and he believes in his company, he believes in us so, that’s what we’re rolling with.
Closing out the Homecoming episode of Dynamite at Daily’s Place was Sting and Darby Allin scoring a win over Konosuke Takeshita and Hobbs. Hobbs reflected on the experience of sharing the ring with Sting:
This past Wednesday, I got to wrestle Sting. Sting… I have so many childhood memories of Sting but actually being in the ring with him, him trusting me and me trusting him and having hell a tornado tag match. You know, teaming with (Konosuke) Takeshita against Darby (Allin), Sting and then having Ric Flair in the mix. Main event on national TV. If you would have asked me 10, 15, 20 years ago, come on.
The next episode of Dynamite is emanating from South Carolina on January 17th and here’s the updated match lineup:
- ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships: The Mogul Embassy (Brian Cage, Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun) (c) (w/ Prince Nana) vs. BULLET CLUB Gold (Jay White, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn)
- TNT Championship: Christian Cage (w/ Nick Wayne & Killswitch) vs. Dustin Rhodes
- AEW World Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. HOOK
