Prince Nana looks back on the formation of The Embassy.

‘The Embassy’ faction that was formed in Ring of Honor was led by Prince Nana and throughout the group’s existence, the likes of the late Jimmy Rave and Xavier, WWE’s T-BAR, Alex Shelley, Mia Yim, Cesaro and Tommaso Ciampa represented the group.

Prince Nana recently appeared on Busted Open Radio with Dave LaGreca and he spoke about the history of Ring of Honor and what the company means to him. He detailed the formation of ‘The Embassy’ and recounted when Gabe Sapolsky first approached him and asked what the name of his faction would be.

The day I came up with The Embassy gimmick or the day that I knew would be managing on a full-time basis, I remember before going through the curtain with Xavier and Gabe announced it, it just sounded so beautiful. You know, it just sounded so beautiful and especially in relation to me being part of the Ashanti Kingdom in Ghana, West Africa which a lot of people try to question but you know, if you ask me the question, I’m gonna give you the answer so yeah, that’s where ‘The Embassy’ comes from.

Nana was featured on an episode of AEW Dark: Elevation in December at the company’s UBS Arena show. He managed Mike Verna and Anthony Gangone in their match against Santana and Ortiz.
