Randy Orton facing Bray Wyatt at WWE TLC in a 'Firefly Inferno' match

Randy Orton and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt were scheduled to go one-on-one in a traditional singles match at the WWE TLC pay-per-view on 12/20. Their singles match has been converted into a ‘Firefly Inferno’ match, as WWE made the announcement on their social media platforms.

The match change comes after Orton lured Fun House Bray Wyatt into the backstage area for a game of ‘hide and go seek’. This led to Orton ambushing Wyatt from behind, tossing him in a crate and setting the crate on fire. Shortly after this occurred, ‘The Fiend’ emerged from the crate and locked in the Mandible Claw onto Orton and choked him out as the segment ended.

Orton and Wyatt’s feud dates back to 2016. This will be their third singles match with the most recent taking place on RAW and it was a no contest. The first was when Orton defeated Wyatt for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33.

Here’s the updated lineup for TLC:

* WWE Championship — TLC Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. AJ Styles (w/ Omos)
* WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Asuka & TBA
* Firefly Inferno Match: Randy Orton vs. ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt
* WWE Universal Championship — TLC Match: Roman Reigns (c) (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. Kevin Owens
* SmackDown Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Carmella
* RAW Tag Team Championships: New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) (c) vs. The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander)

How about we try something different, and try a good wrestling match?

“Ladder Match But Also a Table Spot” would be a shit name for a PPV, though much more accurate.

WTF is a firefly inferno match? I doubt they even know yet

I believe Orton and Edge attempted to do something like this earlier in the year but the marketing geniuses got ahold of the idea and it became “THE GREATEST WRESTLING MATCH IN THE HISTORY OF FOREVER” instead.
