John Pollock & Wai Ting review WWE SmackDown with more knees being bent and a live AEW Rampage from Minneapolis on the eve of Full Gear.

WWE SmackDown featured King Woods challenging Roman Reigns with a lot of knees being bent on the line, Von Wagner makes his way to SmackDown, Sasha Banks returns, and both men’s and women’s teams lose a member before the Survivor Series.

AEW Rampage was live from the Target Center featuring a Lumberjack Match between Matt Hardy and Orange Cassidy, Jungle Boy vs. Bobby Fish, Jade Cargill vs. Santana Garrett, as well as Dante Martin vs. Ariya Daivari.

Actually love John’s idea to let Pat McAfee captain the SmackDown team. He is the only person in the entire company with an ounce of sincerity in their voice for wanting to win this thing. Him just having a bet with Graves or someone else and all the participants get a cut if they win makes way more sense than “brand supremacy.”

The directors of Moonknight (Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead) have an indie horror background, so it’ll be interesting how their style translates to the MCU (in an additional indirect MCU connection, their 2019 sci-fi thriller Synchronic starred Anthony Mackie)
