First appearance by an active WWE wrestler: 8:17 PM (Cody Rhodes standing and waving)
Somewhere Hiroshi Tanahashi is crying after watching that “cold open”
And first commercial break. Cricket Wireless, curse you!
First match starts: 8:32 PM
(No, I won’t do this all night.)
Time to activate NordVPN. These ads man.
Yeah, Rock ain’t doing Mania this year.
Reigns/Solo… Run back the Mania 40 main event booking, but make it boring.
Didn’t mind the match in the long run, at least it felt like working toward a conclusion to the Bloodline deal. My only issue is Jacob Fatu getting jobbed out by Sami Zayn.
Match number 2 coming up.
The quality of the stream has been horrible all night. It looks barely hitting 240p. Never had such issues with any of the other streamers before. The PPVs on Peacock have never had an issue.
Instant turn off.
Sorry to hear that but it doesn’t sound like its a Netflix issue. I’ve had no problems streaming and don’t see a lot of chatter about issues online.
Mine looks good on TV and phone.
I’ve had zero issues
Are you using dial up? Perfect here
I’m a bit behind. But Hogan getting LOUDLY booed made my night. Great job LA.
That was my takeaway as well. Which on one hand is a shame as it feels like Rock vs Roman has been years in the making. But it likely would not have lived up to the hype unless it was some kind of 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 tag match.
Instead it does open up a lot of possibilities to keep the road to wrestlemania interesting. It could be Reigns vs Punk. Reigns vs McIntyre. Reigns vs Gunther. Reigns vs Rhodes 3. All of which can still be huge matches.
First of all the stream was great and the show looked amazing.
But damn other than entrances the crowd was mostly dead. Punk and Rollins was ok but everything else was pretty dull.
Cena promo was good, all the Rock stuff was underwhelming.
Best moments were Hogan getting booed and Travis Scott smoking a J.
Started thread… still couldn’t do three hours live.
I thought the show accomplished everything it was supposed to. Be visually impressive, make it clear who the top stars are, explain some background to new viewers… but of course, since it’s WWE, they did all of that with the subtlety of a colonoscopy.
Also, I would pay extra to Netflix to hear the “I told you so” conversations that happened behind the scenes after Hogan got booed.
Anybody else try to watch today? Netflix doesn’t have the episode available. I spoke to an agent and they said it is only available for 3 hours after the show ends.
