In its first week without major football competition, WWE Raw was largely flat in overall viewers while seeing a modest jump in the key demographic.
RAW’s three-hour program averaged 1,854,000 viewers with a 0.60 in the 18-49 demographic, representing a 2 percent increase in viewers and 9 percent jump in its 18-49 figure compared with last week. RAW finished #3 for the night on cable behind the two NBA games.
RAW opened with 1,991,000 viewers and a 0.64 in the 18-49 demo. This was less than the opening hour performed last week, which was aided by the appearance from Paul Levesque and curiosity over the announcement of Drew McIntyre revealing he had tested positive for COVID-19 and would address it on the program.
Last week’s show also faced mammoth sports competition as the Alabama vs. Ohio State game did 18.2 million viewers. This week’s main cable competition was the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Brooklyn Nets game averaging 2,105,000 viewers and a 0.87 demo figure on TNT.
Hour two dropped to 1,875,000 viewers and a 0.61 in the demo and the final hour averaged 1,697,000 viewers and a 0.56. From the first to the third hour, viewers dropped by 15 percent and the demo decreased by 12.5 percent.
Compared with last week, women 18-49 increased by 19 percent and was the largest growth demo followed by adults 18-49 and 25-54 up 9 percent each. There was a sizable drop among men 12-34 that fell by 29 percent this week and adults 18-34 declined by 11 percent.
In Canada, RAW averaged 246,200 viewers on Sportsnet 360 facing competition from an NHL game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets.
