REPORT: Cody Rhodes dealing with injury going into Hell in a Cell

On Saturday night, Cody Rhodes did not wrestle in his advertised match at a WWE live event as he goes into tonight’s Hell in a Cell card.

It is believed that Rhodes recently sustained an injury but is still being advertised for tonight’s Hell in a Cell match with Seth Rollins in Chicago.

Rhodes was advertised for a street fight with Rollins on Saturday night in Champaign, Illinois. The match was changed with Rollins wrestling Drew McIntyre, although Rhodes did make a run-in at the end and attacked Rollins.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the word going around on Saturday at the house show is that Rhodes sustained a torn pectoral muscle, which was consistent with what we have heard at POST Wrestling but is not confirmed as the official injury.

It is not known if this will lead to any changes to the match tonight and Rhodes was promoting the match on social media on Sunday.
