The reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu has inked a new deal with Major League Wrestling, per a report from ESPN. MLW and Fatu came to an agreement on a new deal in late 2019, which was a few months after Fatu won their world title. This new deal has extended Fatu for four more years and he’ll be with MLW until late 2025.

Jacob Fatu captured the MLW World Heavyweight Title from Tom Lawlor on 7/6/19 at the ‘Kings of Colosseum’ event. Fatu is the son of Tonga Kid, the nephew of Rikishi and his cousins are Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso.

Fatu started wrestling in 2012 and become a fixture in the PCW ULTRA, DEFY Wrestling and All Pro Wrestling promotions by capturing multiple championships in each of those respective promotions. He started working with MLW in early 2019 and put pen to paper later that year.

Major League Wrestling recently announced the signing of Calvin Tankman, who spoke with POST Wrestling this week about a handful of topics including his decision to sign with MLW, his WWE tryout and experiencing racism in wrestling.

This is great news, everyone don’t need to be in WWE or AEW.
