Johnny Gargano’s WWE contract to expire on December 3rd.

It was reported by Fightful Select that Johnny Gargano is the latest name from WWE whose contract is set to expire in the coming months. The site noted that Gargano’s deal with WWE expires on December 3rd, 2021.

Sources told the site that as of the writing, Gargano and WWE have not entered negotiations to renew his deal but that is expected to happen this Fall.

In addition to those notes, this was not a situation similar to Adam Cole and Pete Dunne where WWE was not aware of their respective contract situations.

Johnny Gargano began working with WWE in 2015 and the following year, it was confirmed that he signed a deal with the company. He has been a part of the NXT brand since starting in WWE and he is their first-ever Triple Crown Champion.

A new NXT Champion is going to be crowned on the 9/14 episode of NXT as Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne, Tommaso Ciampa and L.A. Knight compete in a four-way to determine the next champion after Samoa Joe had to relinquish the title.

Shouldn’t someone in the company be aware of when these contracts come up? Or did they lay them off due to Budget cuts?

It says in the article that they were aware of it. The only ones that have been reported that they weren’t aware of was Cole and Dunne.
