The former Universal Champion’s deal is coming up, per report.

Back in 2018, Kevin Owens told Pat Laprade during their chat that he signed a five-year extension with WWE that would take him into 2023. It was recently reported by Fightful Select that Owens’ deal is set to expire this coming January due to pre-pandemic restructuring of contracts.

F4WOnline followed up on the story and confirmed that Owens’ deal is coming up in January.

The 37-year-old Owens has been a part of WWE since 2014. Throughout his time in the company, he has held the NXT, Universal, Intercontinental and United States Championships.

Owens is currently involved in a program on SmackDown with Baron Corbin. Their latest run-in included Logan Paul who led Owens into being attacked by Corbin.

On 9/7, Owens tweeted out coordinates to Mount Rushmore which is also the name of the former PWG faction with himself, The Young Bucks and new All Elite Wrestling signee Adam Cole.
