Very enjoyable UFC card tonight. The main card in particular delivered.

  • Tough to see Jacare lose that number one contenders fight again. You can really tell how much he’s slowing down at this point, but he’s still an entertaining and dangerous fighter. Hermansson is for real. Gastelum or Weidman would make sense for him next.
  • Smoliakov did not want to be in there. I imagine we won’t be seeing him in the UFC again.
  • Perry vs Cowboy was really entertaining. Platinum looked as good as he ever has in there, and it’s amazing how quickly he’s turned the fans in his favour. The pre fight dance off was great.
  • old man Glover still getting it done. It’s almost formulaic at this point that he gets hurt badly and then finishes it on the ground.
  • I thought Lineker beat Sandhagen, but the boos were unwarranted. It was a close fight, and a good fight. Felt bad for him.

Cowboy Cerrone vs Ragin Al is up next. That’s an exciting fight, and will surely make up for the Elias Theodoru boxersize lesson that will precede it.
