Wai Ting welcomes Bruce Lord back to the show to review AEW Dynamite as the Inner Circle takes Vegas, a new member joins Team Taz, Rosa vs. Deeb steals the show, and a major announcement from John.

Andrew Thompson delivers the NEWS OF THE DAY:

  • Marti Belle announces free agency and NWA departure
  • Mandy Rose injury update
  • WWE Raw third hour ratings increase for McIntyre vs. Orton
  • Recent AEW signings including Matt Sydal

Our review begins with Bruce’s thoughts on AEW Dark. On Dynamite, The Young Bucks give unknowns Top Flight their national TV debut, Inner Circle slays Las Vegas, Jon Moxley nonchalantly delivers a major announcement before falling victim to a mysterious attack, PAC has his first AEW match in 8 months, Serena Deeb defends the NWA title against Thunder Rosa, and Team Taz receives its latest recruit.

Bruce you’re doing great, but throw in a ‘Right Now’ every now and then.

Can’t believe how much the forum loved this show. I thought it was pretty bad. Really sick of Orange Cassidy’s same routine every single week, and the Inner Circle stuff was awful. I can appreciate musical routine they did a couple weeks ago for at least trying something different, but awful WWE-style comedy is something I’m already far too familiar with.

And Miro on commentary was equally terrible. Felt like JR and Tony had to keep reminding him to say something or else we might completely forget that he was there.

Nice job by Bruce again.

Yeah I wasn’t that high on this show. This was the first big miss for MJF/Jericho. It just wasn’t funny and didn’t build to anything interesting. And the whole punchline was Hornswoggle? The whole thing felt like an Impact segment.

I also don’t think we need another mystery attacker angle. Didn’t they just do that with Matt Hardy? The whole contract signing was awkward.

The wrestling was fine - really liked the bucks match and the women’s title match but overall not a great show at all

Another good podcast guys.

Cagematch.net tells me Cody & Darby last teamed up in April, when they were running from the Nightmare Factory in Georgia, in a losing effort to Sammy Guevara and Shawn Spears. Also the same show where Anna Jay last faced Hikaru Shida.

My normal podcasting host pointed out that I keep throwing “there” in as a suffix in a chatty mid-west/Coach Z type manner and now I can’t not hear it.

Shame they couldn’t get Mike Tyson to recreate his scene from The Hangover
