This struck me as a underrated Raw by the podcast community here.
Granted, I tend to only ‘see’ these shows through highlights but this weeks Raw looked like a great show in terms of wrestling. This completely blows away Raw 25 which goes without saying but also several of the Raws leading into the Rumble.
I feel like most of the matches on this episode would have been suitable for a Raw exclusive PPV show and we were spoiled. Even something as quick as Braun vs Kane was done right wasting no time and giving people what they wanted.
I’m not sure what people expect out of a typical raw but this felt like it deserved a much higher average than 6.8. Perhaps it was the lack of pushing forward key stories outside of setting up the Chamber match that did it? I’d put myself closer to a 9.0 again based on highlights which is how I’m normally exposed to these shows.
They were left in due to my using the same editing timeline as last week’s RAR when the SFX were used to head into Brian Mann’s segment. I was made aware of the issue and replaced the file at 5am, but some of you may have already downloaded the show by then.
I thought I was going nuts when that happened. I listen through my tablet so I thought maybe it was a notification I’d never heard before, so glad someone else brought it up.
