NJPW New Year Dash!!! saw the emotional retirement ceremony of Jushin “Thunder” Liger, plus builds to several new programs involving KENTA vs. Tetsuya Naito, Jon Moxley vs. Minoru Suzuki, and a Hiroshi Tanahashi/Kota Ibushi tag team.

WWE Raw saw the announcement of Brock Lesnar’s entry into the Royal Rumble, Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens introducing a mystery partner to challenge Seth Rollins and AOP, the latest in the Lashley/Lana/Rusev storyline, and more matches announced for next week’s big event.

Every time I see such mess as the Rey/Andrade finish I think of that TJP interview from few weeks back, where he said how WWE are micro-managing every match during the match itself, thus making the job of the wrestlers so much harder to do, and leading them to such confusing (and I’d even say emabarasing) moments like this one.
