Regarding Big Cass:
Genuinely surprised John and Wai had a problem with his mic work here.
I felt Cass was brilliant personally. Why?
He played a great bullshit heel with KO style excuses in defending his loss to DB.
He does Carmella style/Iconic Duo annoying voices and actions to add to his promo heat
He’s basically playing an Edge/Christian style heel but he’s NOT making you laugh in the process so you don’t end up cheering for him but rather just hating him more.
I think this is top tier heel work in a company whose heels are mostly genuine babyfaces because the crowd just wants to cheer them and hear them talk.
The first few times I heard the loop I could hear the Y sound starting but as it played over and over it faded away and all I can hear now is Laurel. I think the Yanny sound is higher pitched and the Laurel sound is lower so your brain filters out one or the other and you only process one of them.
