I really appreciate the Meltzer segment from that weekend at the end of the podcast there. I know he covered MMA extensively for Yahoo during that time too.

Just listened to this. Fun show as usual when John talks MMA with Phil and Eric. I remember watching… most of this show, as I think it ran over its allotted time on CBS, and my recording it didn’t account for any overrun, so I didn’t catch the main event.

Matt Makowski is another name I know from the prelims: he transitioned into pro wrestling and has been active since about 2019. He trained at the Chikara Wrestle Factory and wrestled for them, GCW Bloodsport, and ROH before the end of 2021.
