Fuji’s condition is non-life threatening.

The 2AW promotion in Japan shared on their official website that 32-year veteran Ricky Fuji, real name Masanori Morimura, had a fall on September 7th. He was rushed to a hospital where it was determined that he suffered a stroke. Fuji underwent surgery that same day.

He underwent a successful cerebral angiography and his condition is non-life threatening but the left side of Fuji’s body is paralyzed as of this writing.

Fuji’s relatives informed 2AW that he is going to be transferred to a hospital that specializes in rehabilitation and he’ll continue to focus on treatment while undergoing rehabilitation.

Fuji is 56 years of age and is consistently active in the ring. He most recently wrestled on September 4th for 2AW.
