I was thinking there can be a lot of surprises and returns this year.
Women : Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez, Charlotte, Becky, Kiana James.
Men : Trick Williams, Logan Paul, Macaulay Culkin, Corey Graves.
What do you think ?
Matt Cardona is my big prediction. I feel once he got on TV and there were talks of him signing that stopped all of a sudden, I figured he was WWE bound.
Apparently he was hurt at Final Battle but I don’t know how serious it was.
A big AEW name would be great - Britt, Ricky Starks, MJF
Realistically I expect Joe Hendry, Matt Cardonna

No big shocks for the women. I think everybody PJ listed above is reasonable, along with Jordynn Grace and maybe Vaquer and/or Giulia (pointless but I can see it).
For the men, I think the days of major surprises that are “just for fun” are over. There’s too many full-timers to keep happy, and Triple H doesn’t seem to be as keen on those as the prior regime.
But I’ll go with Omos, Trick, Shawn Spears (at #10, of course), Joe Hendry should be a definite and Tyler Breeze as a random longshot.
I have to imagine that Joe Hendry is a lock, that place is going to blow the roof off when he comes out.
I could also see Matt Cardona.
As for the women, I’m sure Charlotte and Becky will return. I should note I haven’t watched Raw yet so if either already returned, please disregard lol as I’m watching with others on the weekend.
I could see Ethan Page for the men and Victoria for the women. And a dumb waste of a spot with McAfee since they’re in Indy.
Gosh they’re definitely going to do it for McAfee and that will be what, the third or fourth time they’ve done that spot with him?

Indy is the only place where McAfee isn’t a waste of a spot.
(Unless they do away with the “celebrity” entrants altogether, which I am in favor of. At bare minimum, I don’t think it’s too much to ask that a surprise entrant should be closer to AJ Styles than Drew Carey.)

For the women’s one I haven’t seen mentioned yet is Nikki Bella. She looked like she was in great shape in her guest appearance on Raw.
Open the real forbidden door! I’ll throw Omega or Moxley in. Knowing none of these are going to happen.
However, Starks will get enough shots in the Rumble once he’s free of AEW

Say his name, and he appears. I have to think Joe Hendry is a lock following his NXT appearances. For what it’s worth, in his video for the New Year’s Eve NXT Award acceptance, he said he could show up anytime, any place, any show.

I would like to see Melina come back as well cause the last time she was in there for 10 seconds.
I’m guessing there is a good chance to Malacki/Alister Black.
He showed up in AEW quite quickly after WWE released him, so him showing up nearly as quick in WWE after leaving AEW would be something.

I could see them having Alister Black as a half-assed Monday Night War “you thought he worked for the other company” moment.
But my opinion is if you actually want him on the roster, give him a better debut than a random Rumble spot. If you don’t actually want him, don’t waste our time with the one-off appearance.

For those of you saying Hendry, and in all likelihood he’ll be beating Nemeth for the World title at Genesis. Genesis is before the Rumbie, SO does him being TNA World Champion make the appearance more or less likely to everyone?

For me it’s the same, maybe slightly more likely.
Having the champ looks better to the average viewer, and they have had TNA champions before which tells me they like that. Either way though, the guy is so red hot right now, his music hitting would become an instant viral wrestling moment which you know they love.
