John Siino reviews this week’s editions of AEW Dark, AEW Dark: Elevation, NXT UK, IMPACT Wrestling, 205 Live, NJPW Strong, NWA Powerrr, NWA USA, and Main Event in under 15 minutes on Shot In The Dark.
This week on AEW Dark, taped before Battle of the Belts, we get all the other champions in action with Eliminator Matches as TBS Champion Jade Cargill takes on Skye Blue, Tag Team Champions Jurassic Express vs. The Factory’s QT Marshall and Nick Comoroto and AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page with his first match on AEW Dark teams up with Dark Order’s 10 and Alan ‘5’ Angels to take on Matt Hardy, Isiah Kassidy and Serpentico (subbing for Marq Quen), in which Hardy would get a title shot if his team earns a victory. As well as first time matches between Eddie Kingston vs. Joey Janela and Orange Cassidy vs. JD Drake (and his two new masked henchmen).
NWA USA premieres with it’s first episode on YouTube, that includes first round matches for the new NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship, with Colby Corino taking on CW Anderson, as George South must choose sides, as well as Luke Hawx taking on his son PJ Hawx.
On NXT UK, Meiko Satomura defends her UK Women’s Championship against Blair Davenport, we get a first round match in the Tag Team #1 Contender’s Tournament with Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter taking on Symbiosis, as well as WALTER naming his final opponent before he leaves NXT UK.
Also, QT Marshall takes on Zack Clayton in front of his fiancé JWoww and Snookie on AEW Dark: Elevation, the ‘Hard to Kill’ go-home show of IMPACT Wrestling, Matt Cardona debuts by teaming up with Mike Knox on NWA Powerrr, Eddie Kingston vs. Gabriel Kidd on NJPW Strong, Malik Blade and Nikkita Lyons aim to get their first victories on 205 Live, and The Mysterios vs. The Hurt Business on Main Event.
PLUS, Siino discusses the WALTER vs. Cara Noir match from wXw 21st Anniversary that was recently added to the WWE Network.
