New North American Champion to be crowned at Halloween Havoc.

Kicking off the 9/20 episode of WWE NXT was Carmelo Hayes and North American Champion Solo Sikoa being brought into a room by Shawn Michaels.

Michaels informed Sikoa that his match with Carmelo last week was not one he was sanctioned to be in. Hayes was originally supposed to defend the title against Wes Lee, which was a fan vote option and when Hayes and Trick Williams ambushed Lee, Solo stepped up and went on to become champion.

He told Sikoa that his title win cannot stand and wished him well on his career on the main roster. Hayes then expected to get the title back, but Michaels informed him that along with five other wrestlers at Halloween Havoc, they’ll compete for the title in a Ladder match.

Sikoa had one successful defense of the title and that was on the 9/16 episode of SmackDown against Madcap Moss.
