Solo Sikoa’s first interview since joining the main roster.
In the main event of WWE Clash at the Castle, Solo Sikoa assisted Roman Reigns in defeating Drew McIntyre to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Sikoa has been part of The Bloodline going on a month now and has tallied up four straight wins on television.
Peter Rosenberg conducted an interview with Sikoa and asked him about his debut on the main roster. Sikoa said it was out of the blue and his mind was blown that it happened. He recounted being in the locker room with Roman Reigns prior to the match. He added that no one saw him go under the ring and the first time most people saw him backstage was when he went to the back after the main event.
No . It was out of the blue man. It was one of those things where I got the call and, ‘This is what we wanna do, this is how we wanna bring you in’ but I would never expect it this way, in front of 60,000 people, it was crazy. I’m still mind blown.
Nobody knows that I was there in Cardiff. None of the guys, none of the boys. Just only certain people and nobody seen me go out there under the ring and then everybody first seen me when I first came back after the spot happened. It was like, ‘Man, wow. That was crazy.’ I remember that day, we were just sitting in the locker room just quiet. I was watching him get ready for the match. I didn’t wanna say anything, because he was in his zone and I was in my zone, I know what I needed to do, he knew what he needed to do and he was just like, ‘Man, I just need you to be here. I need you execute this at this time’ and I did, and it blew the roof off the place.
Sami Zayn is a member of The Bloodline as the ‘Honorary Uce’. Solo admitted that some of Zayn’s antics have almost gotten him to laugh on television.
There’s a couple times . Sami’s like that little brother where he’s the loud brother and he’s dancing all over the place but when he bumps into trouble, he runs back to his older brothers for help. I feel like Sami, he’s like that. But, like I said, he’s one of those characters where it’s very one in a million to have him around you and he’s in The Bloodline so it don’t get no better than that.
Circling back around to Clash at the Castle, Solo recounted meeting with Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. Although he had been signed to NXT since late 2021, the event in Cardiff was the first time he met Levesque.
He was briefed on what he would be doing that night and said since he joined the main roster, Levesque has given him advice after matches.
Going to Cardiff . He goes, ‘We’ll go over it with Roman’ and stuff like that but, yeah man, he’ll talk to me every time after the match too and just give me some advice which I’m really happy I got a chance to meet him.
