Record-high profit for STARDOM during their first quarter.

On December 7th, World Wonder Ring STARDOM hosted their strategy presentation which was to go over analytics, sales and profits since being acquired by Bushiroad in late 2019.

Since being under the Bushiroad umbrella, profits increased times 2.5 due to media exposure. It was noted that in the current fiscal year, sales have consistently risen and STARDOM brought in a record-high of about 200 million yen ($1.7 million USD) as of their first quarter (July-September 2021). Bushiroad founder and President Takaaki Kidani commented on STARDOM’s success:

I think we’ve passed the initial target, and that’s how great the are suited to the current times. I think the effective use of YouTube has been a big factor, as well as the gradual expansion of broadcasters and efforts to have the matches seen in various ways.

After joining Bushiroad, the pandemic hit shortly thereafter, but still profits have increased about 2.5 times!
