Rick reflects on the Hall of Fame induction and Scott weighs in on Flair’s in-ring return.
This past April, The Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott Steiner) accepted their place in the WWE Hall of Fame. Current NXT Champion Bron Breakker introduced them to the ring so they could accept the honor.
The former two-time WWF Tag Team Champions were the focus of a Highspots Wrestling Network ‘Sign-It-Live’ stream and Rick reflected on being part of the WrestleMania 38 week festivities. He said it was awesome that he and Scott were recognized for their years of work in the ring and described the entire experience it as ‘unbelievable’.
Rick: For me, being there introduce both of us, I mean, you know, not many parents or fathers get to — it was just an awesome moment for me and to do it with my brother and finally get recognized for all those years of banging and bouncing, hitting and kicking and all that, wear and tear on the bodies and now to actually be recognized and be in that elite group of guys and walk down there and just be a part of that whole WrestleMania thing, it was awesome… For me, it was unbelievable, you know?
Elsewhere during the signing, it was brought up that Ric Flair will be returning to the ring on July 31st as a part of Starrcast in Nashville, Tennessee.
It is being billed as Flair’s last match and when Scott was asked for his thoughts about that, Flair was labeled an ‘old friend’ of Scott’s and here was his response:
Scott: He . I’d destroy him. Yeah, everybody wants to see him get beat up.
Both Rick and Scott are scheduled to be at Starrcast in July. Back in April, Steiner did an interview during which he touched on his exit from WWE in 2004 and letting go of those negative feelings.
