After taking part in the presentation of the last match that his father — Sting — wrestled, Garrett Borden is nothing short of proud.

Borden took to his YouTube channel — a page where he has posted videos about the video game Destiny 2 under the alias KOTHAS for the past year — to reflect on the night and reveal to his viewers that he is Sting’s son.

He appeared on Sunday at AEW Revolution as part of Sting’s last match. Sting teamed alongside Darby Allin to face The Young Bucks but had help from many others, including both of his sons, Ric Flair, and Ricky Steamboat.

Borden was seen during Sting’s entrance, dressed as him from a different era. His brother also appeared as a Sting from the past. They also made appearances during the match, hitting Stinger Splashers in the corner.

“My Dad just had the greatest send-off possible,” Borden said. “My Dad is turning 65 this week. If you see some of the stuff that he does… You know the saying ‘Age is just a number?’ He proves that’s true. Because he just doesn’t stop. He goes full send in everything he does, and it’s an inspiration for me.”

Borden said he saw first-hand how Sting impacted both people involved in the wrestling industry and those who have followed it closely for years.

“Getting to see all the other wrestlers’ admiration and respect for my dad, and the fans sharing their stories. They all meant so much to him. And gosh, for me, I’m just so proud as a son. Both me and my brother were like, gosh this is just unbelievable.”

Borden said that he was working out twice a day in preparation for his appearance. Since he was appearing in Sting’s ring gear, he wanted to look as fit as possible: “I was training for the last few years to be as strong as possible, put on as much size as possible … I knew I had to go on a crazy cut.”

Without a doubt, the better Gar(r)ett I’ve seen in professional wrestling in the last 20 years! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
