He plans to have another surgery when he retires from in-ring competition.

Taking to his social media platforms, Takashi Sugiura revealed that he underwent successful eye surgery. He had a lens removed. He noted that it shifted considerably since his injury

Sugiura noted that normally, a medical lens would be inserted to replace the removed lens, but he plans to have that operation done when he’s retired from in-ring competition. This is Sugiura’s third eye surgery but he noted that it would’ve been too painful to undergo double eye surgery.

pic.twitter.com/QWHbZvr31m

In June, Sugiura challenged Jake Lee for the GHC Heavyweight Championship. Going into the match, he received well wishes from Shinjiro Otani.
