I have no memory of this but what was the fued between HHH/Taker about on the way to X-7?
All I remember is Kane holding up Stephanie in a gorilla press position 3 stories high threatening to kill her unless triple h accepted the match.
Believe it was supposed to be triple h vs HBK originally I think before they had to change.
It started over Hunter saying he’s beaten everybody and Taker said “LIES!”. Then it was all attitude era stuff, although I did enjoy Hunter cutting a promo while sitting on a chair that was choking Taker, that was a great visual.
Don’t Mess with a Dead Man’s Motorcycle or you become a dead man walking!
one point in the feud triple H destroyed takers Motorcycle on Smackdown.
That’s all I remember too.
This is all great stuff maybe I should check out a couple of RAWs leading up to it.
I cant say off the top of my head those are the best Raws of all time out of 1200 plus. (1998 probably best.) but if anyone wants to go back and watch old Raws, The build up to Mania 17 is probably one of the best places to do so. The lead up to the widely regarded best Wrestlemania of all time. The time where WWF bought WCW March 2001 and since the attitude era unofficially ended at Mania 17 those are the last attitude Raws. Lots of historical significance there.
I’m surprised nobodies done this yet. Here’s the promo video from before the match (although the quality isn’t very good).
All I know that I’ve always enjoyed HHH/Taker clashes. I was so amazed and shocked when Triple H destroyed Undertaker’s Motorbike It was on crazy moment And adding to it that one crazy return Undertaker made before the Judgement day. The year was 2000. The crazy brawl occurred between The Rock and Triple H. The Whole Team DX came to beat the Rock like crazy. But suddenly when the lights started to blink and when that crazy visual started to play “Back From the Dead” the three girls
talking and the American Badass’s Furious Return taking everyone single-handedly. Man, that moment still gives me chills and my awesome childhood memory recalls.
I recently just watched their first recorded match in Kuwait. Trips and 'Taker are/were two of the best storytellers in the ring. Their last two WrestleMania matches really stuck with me. I’m looking forward to their match this weekend.
