'The Flying Greek' Mike Pappas passes away

Pappas succumbed to stage four cancer. 

At the age of 81, ‘The Flying Greek’ Mike Pappas passed away. The news was shared by the Cauliflower Alley Club who noted that Pappas passed on December 31st, 2022.

Slam Wrestling has a profile on the life and pro wrestling career of Pappas. He succumbed to stage four cancer.

He began his in-ring career in the late 1960s. Pappas worked undercard matches for the WWWF. He wrestled in NWA territories such as St. Louis Wrestling Club. 

In December 2021, a film was released about Pappas that is called ‘The Flying Greek’, directed by Jason Braiser.
