TRAGEDY AFTER WRESTLEMANIA

  • The Ultimate Warrior has died. We do not wish to speculate on the cause but this is massive blow personally to those who knew him and professionally for the WWF. Jim Hellwig was 37.

SEE YOU DOWN THE ROAD

  • Every WrestleMania indicates the end of a year that was and causes companies and individuals to take stock of where they are. To this end Paul Orndorff, One Man Gang, Sweet Stan Lane, and Tito Santana have all made the difficult decision to leave their boots in the ring
  • Both Marc Mero and Mankind are rumoured to be starting with the WWF and it’s been said that The Roadie has been brought back by the WWF. With Jarrett’s IC title win, you’d have to think the feud books itself. Time will tell

Weird how Warrior also died after Mania here too.

wait, what im confused? Thought the warrior only died a few years ago… what am i missing?

I have a network of things to create random events in the universe. In this case, a random number generator followed by a dice roll.

THE CURTAIN CALL

  • The World Wrestling Federation saw an interesting end to a house show at MSG on May 19 with Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Razor Ramon joining Shawn Michaels and Diesel at the end of a cagematch and celebrating in the ring - going against all conventional babyface/heel dynamics at the time.
  • Scott Hall (Razor Ramon) and Kevin Nash (Diesel) are rumoured to be leaving the company in the next couple of weeks
  • Shawn already seemed to be in the doghouse but Helmsley (who was tipped as a likely IC champ over the coming year - is said to be likely severely punished for this.indiscretion.
  • Oddly, Scott Hall (Razor Ramon) seems to be getting the grandest send-off or a moral dilemma as he’s been put in the Main Event of In Your House 8: The Razor’s Edge

WWF HALL OF FAMER RETURNS

  • 18 months removed from retiring prematurely, it’s said that Ravishing Rick Rude is re-signing with the World Federation.
  • Rude reports that he’s ‘feeling great’ and can’t wait to mix it up with all those ‘punk kids’ in the WWF main event scene. Especially Scotty Flamingo.

WE DON’T KNOW WHY HE’S HERE

  • Less than 24 hours removed from Main Eventing WWF’s In Your House 8: The Razor’s Edge and it looks like Razor Ramon is in WCW?

  • Razor appeared during a match between Mike Enos & Steve Doll before grabbing a mic, going into the ring and saying:

  • You people, you know who I am but you don’t know why I’m here. Where is Billionaire Ted? Where is the Nacho Man. That punk can’t even get in the building. Me? I go wherever I want, whenever I want. And where is Scheme Gene? Cuz I got a scoop for you. When that Ken doll lookalike, when that weatherman wannabe comes out here later tonight, I got a challenge for him, for Billionaire Ted, for the Nacho Man, and for anybody else in uh WCW (yokels). Hey, you wanna go to war… you want a war? You’re gonna get one.

  • Most pundits to this point are highlighting the career stipulation as proof that Razor Ramon is not working for the WWF still. However, some pessimists are pointing out that surely the WWF wouldn’t put Razor Ramon on the Main Event of In Your House knowing he could show up on Nitro the very next night.

  • For what it’s worth, the commentary team didn’t mention the man we know as Razor Ramon by any name so it’s all a bit wooly at this point.

LOOK AT THE ADJECTVE

  • Just 2 weeks after Razor Ramon showed up in WCW, he’s been joined by another member of the Kliq in Diesel

  • Diesel appeared in a segment at the commentary desk and alongside Razor Ramon confronted Eric Bischoff

  • You been sitting out here for six months, running your mouth. This is where the big boys play, huh? Look at the adjective: ‘play’. We ain’t here to play

  • He continued: this show’s about as interesting as Marge Schott reading excerpts from Mein Kampf… Where’s your 3 guys? What, you couldn’t get a paleontologist to get a couple of these fossils cleared? Where’s Hogan? Where’s Hogan? Out losing to Ricky Steamboat again? Bring what you got? The measuring stick just changed around here. You’re looking at it.

  • English teachers notwithstanding, it seems we’re headed for some sort of showdown at the Great American Bash

NOTES

  • It appears that Hunter Hearst Helmsley’s punishment can’t be that severe with an IC shot against Curt Hennig just a month later - most are expecting Hennig to go over though
  • Yokozuna seems the heavy favourite to get a title run that’s eluded him for several years
  • Stone Cold Steve Austin has all the momentum behind him but this has been a tournament for the underdog so far this year. Is this Austin’s tourney to win or his to lose?

King of the ring should always be a one night thing. Imagine doing King if the ring as a 3 hour raw followed by Queen of the ring the week later.
