Khan is asked about Wheeler’s situation.

On Friday morning, AEW World Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred in late July and a warrant for Wheeler’s arrest was issued on the 28th of July.

AEW President Tony Khan hosted a media call ahead of All In and was asked about Wheeler’s ongoing situation and whether his involvement in All In was ever in doubt. Khan says he cannot comment on the specifics, but called it an inconclusive situation.

Sports Illustrated reported that Wheeler is expected to wrestle at All In. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) are scheduled to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson).

Tough spot to be in as an owner. On one hand you want to keep performers accountable when you are on a national stage like this, on the other hand you can’t react with knee jerk reactions because you’re scared some on the internet will be mad at you for not acting immediately. I just hope hes truly doing his due diligence by communicating with police and Cash, and if there was definitely wrong doing, he acts appropriately.
