Tony Khan and Lio Rush have been in talks about a return to AEW.

This past May, All Elite Wrestling held their Double Or Nothing pay-per-view and the ‘joker’ entrant in the men’s Casino Battle Royale was Lio Rush.

Rush was not victorious in the Battle Royale but it later came out that Tony Khan wanted to bring Lio onto the roster. Rush ended up suffering a tear in his shoulder and that led to him making the decision to retire from wrestling. Rush said he would be done after he finished up his contractual obligations with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Tony Khan recently put out a tweet and noted that he has been talking to Lio quite often about the possibility of him returning to AEW.

I see a lot of tweets talking about Lio Rush today. Coincidentally, I’ve been talking to @TheLionelGreen a lot recently about returning to @AEW, and it feels like something that could happen in the near future.

Rush is scheduled for the forthcoming NJPW STRONG tapings in Garland, Texas and he’ll be taking on Taiji Ishimori.

Along with his in-ring career, Rush is also working on his music and he’ll be releasing his ‘Not Found’ project on September 28th.

People have been talking about Lio Rush a lot today purely because of that Adam Cole/Keith Lee gossip from Meltzer. That’s very funny.
