Khan noted that HOOK has a 28-1 record and is on a winning streak but there was outrage about him calling out the champion. He pointed out that Mahal has lost every match he’s been in the past year, has a title match set for the next edition of Raw and there was no outrage.
He followed up by replying to a comment from the USA Network X account, which referenced a past comment that Khan made on the Worlds End media call about how AEW and ROH shows are doing great on Cagematch. Below are Khan’s posts:
A double standard:
@730hook
28-1 career record, on winning streak calls out the Champ, a logical challenge sparks online outrage
Jinder has literally lost every single match he’s in for the past year, immediately gets title shot, where is the rage
A moral victory for USA is one win more than their World Title challenger Jinder Mahal has in the past 364 days… because it’s been literally a full year since he won a match.
You really put AEW in our place getting Jinder Mahal in a big match on your tv show. Do it more often
WWE literally using every wrestling media connection to take shots at AEW (Nick Hausman, looking at you). TK takes a message board level shot defending his product and it’s a problem?
USA Network is literally tweeting with Raj… Meanwhile let’s feign rage over Tony.
It’s all pretty hilarious and I loved Tony going after Bischoff but he comes off like a giant geek when he talks about wins, losses and title shots. Hilarious but sad and awkward
We’re not owners and bookers of a wrestling company. Or running an NFL or Premier League team. He has to have better things to do with his time than this.
If 3 posters on this board roll their eyes at Tony saying something stupid, I don’t see what the big deal is. Whether its Tony Khan, Vince McMahon, Triple H, Dixie Carter (in the past), etc. this board dishes it out to everyone. Maybe Twitter goes after the man, but Twitter is a cesspool and I would recommend getting off of it.
I dont see how posting a bunch of whataboutisims from SRS changes anything.
