On Friday Night SmackDown, an announcement was made regarding the SmackDown women’s title match at SummerSlam with a contender to emerge from next week’s episode.
During a segment with Stephanie McMahon addressing Bayley and Sasha Banks, McMahon announced there will be a triple brand battle royal on Friday Night SmackDown next week. The winner of the match involving Raw, SmackDown & NXT talent will challenge Bayley at SummerSlam on Sunday, August 23rd. No participants were revealed for the battle royal.
Bayley will also face Asuka on this Monday’s episode of Raw (which was taped earlier this week) and if Asuka wins, she will face Banks for the Raw women’s title at SummerSlam.
The next set of SmackDown tapings is scheduled for next Thursday at the WWE Performance Center.

*Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title
*Braun Strowman vs. The Fiend for the Universal title
*The Street Profits vs. Angel Garza & Andrade for the Raw tag titles
*Seth Rollins vs. Dominik Mysterio
*Bayley vs. TBA for the SmackDown women’s title
