All Elite Wrestling’s Canadian television deal is finalized with TSN making the announcement they will be carrying Dynamite live on Wednesday nights from 8-10 pm eastern.

The confirmation of the deal followed reports on Monday night that a deal had been reached, although POST Wrestling could not independently confirm that news until Tuesday afternoon.

The deal will see Dynamite air on TSN 2 for the first four weeks on October 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd and then broadcast on TSN 3 for the October 30th edition. The show will also be available on TSN.ca and through the TSN app, which will house the show on-demand after the live airing.

The agreement came down to the wire with the official announcement made just over 24 hours before the series launches on TNT in the United States from the Capital One Center in Washington, D.C.

Wednesday’s show will feature The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho & two partners (to be revealed tonight), Riho vs. Nyla Rose to crown the first AEW women’s champion, Hangman Page vs. PAC, Brandon Cutler vs. MJF, Cody vs. Sammy Guevara, and an appearance by Jon Moxley.

While in the U.S., AEW will go head-to-head with NXT, that will not be the case in Canada. Much like the Monday Night War, the two opposing programs will not air live against each other. NXT airs on a 24-hour delay on the WWE Network in Canada with a one-hour edited version on Fridays at 7 pm eastern on Sportsnet 360. The WWE’s Canadian rights holder will host a WWE programming block Friday night with Aftermath at 6:30 pm, NXT at 7, Friday Night SmackDown at 8, and Main Event airing at 10.

John, quick question

Wwe network in Canada is showing this week’s NXT is playing live; will there be no tape delay for Canadian subscribers who have the network on terrestrial channels, and we get the truncated version in sportsnet360 Friday?

Or is this a situation where they just haven’t communicated it correctly to tv providers?

The latter, it’s the Watch Along that is airing Wednesday night 8-10.

@johnpollock does that mean the Watch Along for tonight’s episode is airing BEFORE the episode on the Network? That’s actually really funny and dumb.
