Thursday’s viewership figures are in for IMPACT Wrestling, Dark Side of the Ring, and MLW’s Fightland special on Vice TV.
In the Showbuzz Daily charts, only Dark Side of the Ring ranked among the top 150 cable programs for the evening with 137,000 viewers and 63,000 (0.05) in the 18-49 demographic.
Thursday’s CABLE numbers were led by the NFL game between the L.A. Rams and Seattle Seahawks that averaged 3,389,000 on the NFL Network and 14,761,000 viewers on Fox. The ALDS game between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays averaged 2,628,000 on FS 1.
Dark Side of the Ring covered the life of the deceased Ion Croitoru a.k.a. Johnny K9/Bruiser Bedlam.
The viewership figure was higher than last week’s episode covering FMW and Atsushi Onita, which averaged 126,000 and 51,000 in 18-49 but trailed the episodes covering Chris Kanyon and the Plane Ride from Hell.
Next week’s episode will focus on the late Luna Vachon.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics obtained the viewership stats for IMPACT and MLW, which didn’t rank on the Showbuzz Daily charts.
IMPACT Wrestling averaged 111,000 viewers and with 31,000 (0.02) in the 18-49 demographic. The show was headlined by Christian Cage and Josh Alexander teaming up against Ace Austin & Madman Fulton prior to the Cage vs. Alexander match at Bound for Glory later this month.
IMPACT was down slightly from last week’s episode that averaged 115,000 and 38,000 respectively.
Finally, MLW’s one-hour special on Vice TV, which had Dark Side of the Ring as a lead-in only averaged 40,000 viewers with 16,000 (0.01) in 18-49.
The one-hour special was MLW’s first on Vice TV and featured the big Title vs. Title match between Jacob Fatu and Alex Hammerstone, a four-way match for the MLW Middleweight Championship, and the news that Will Ospreay would appear on the promotion’s November 6th event in Philadelphia.
