Just had this crazy thought… The Undertaker retired at Wrestlemania last year but Mark Calaway did not. So I see this happening this Sunday:
Cena gets into the ring to call out Undertaker one last time and in response Mark Calaway (in a more personal biker/American bad ass outfit) appears on stage on a Harley and accepts the challenge with a major „Taker is gone, I’m here“ promo. They have an awesome match and afterwards Mark gets a real sendoff for the person that made the character.
That would be my main event.
I don’t see this happening. Taker has been so protective of the gimmick over the year that i doubt he would break keyfabe just for a angle when he doesn’t want to break it for the hall of fame ceremony.
I feel we have a better shot at seeing bother biker version of the character then seeing him being himself.
The only person who hasn’t been announced as having an inducter at the HOF is Kid Rock. I’m hoping it’s American badass taker and the match is made there.
Now’s that a GREAT idea. I’ve been racking my brain on how this is going down and basically had this Russo overbooking ending with the gong sounding after Roman’s win and druids carry out a coffin, turns out its Ziggler. (including much more overbooking) Kid Rock starts singing his song, Biker T. comes out, short match, Cena helps Taker fold his clothes, blah, blah, blah.
Forget all that. Let’s go with your idea!
I don’t think Taker realises how badass he would look if he came out with grey hair (cf Dr Wagner Jr post unmasking)
Brilliant!!!
And ask him to play him out on Sunday
Do people not remember how unpopular the biker taker was? Hardcore fans and dirstsheet writers wanted him to go back to being dead for most of that time.
Love the idea with the grey hair! Might call it a greYat idea!!
I know he has been very (very very) protective about the gimmick but he also has been known to evolve over the years (decades) and to me this would feel more like a natural evolution than an unnecessary harm to the character.
For real. Biker Taker was awful. I never want to see that again.
