Wow, bless everyone’s heart trying to make Mania plans
Pre-sale just started for the WrestleMania 2-day combo and the cheapest is $1,400 USD. Always dreamed of going to a Mania live and in the era of dynamic pricing, probably gonna have to accept that I won’t ever go to one.
This is definitely a ridiculous price point, but let’s not pretend it’s a “WWE” thing. ALL sports will charge what they can get away with charging, it all depends on the demand for the event. NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, WWE, UFC, AEW etc. will all charge to their ceiling.
Wrestlemania ticket prices don’t bother me in the same way that Super Bowl prices don’t.
I’m more concerned that tickets for a random SmackDown near me are at least $250 apiece (and some significantly more than that) for all but the worst seats in the house. I guess when you’re selling out anyway, you can get away with it.
If $1,400 worries you about tickets to an event in Las Vegas, I suggest you stay home. I was out there last year to see U2 at The Sphere. Money flew out of my pockets. It had nothing to do with gambling. The price of the concert tickets didn’t have anything to do with it. It was the hotel fees, transportation, and the most expensive thing, food. We dropped $50 for fast food grade fish and chips because Gordon Ramsay’s face was on the box. That was without a drink and we had to eat sitting on a curb, fighting off pigeons, because there’s very little seating in the restaurant. A single slice of pizza on the strip with some other celebrity chef’s face next to it that might have been made that day cost $16. “Don’t buy food with celebrity chefs faces next to it”…good luck finding any.
Las Vegas is an awesome town with plenty to see and do. But the days of it being an inexpensive town with cheap buffets and $0.99 shrimp cocktails are long gone. There are ways of eating and getting around without going broke, but you’ll have to do some research before you get there.
These are very good points. I was in Vegas a few months ago and spent $80 on Johnny rockets for two people and $60 on two drinks at MGM grand casino. Vegas is ridiculously overpriced.
