Rey Mysterio is the cover athlete for WWE 2K22.

2K Games formally made the announcement that the WWE 2K22 video game is releasing on March 11th and the cover athlete for this year’s game is Rey Mysterio. The game is available to pre-order and there is also a deluxe edition with the n.W.o. (Kevin Nash, Terry Bollea & Scott Hall) on the cover.

#WWE2K22 is the most-realistic looking, hardest-hitting WWE gaming experience yet! Pre-order the Deluxe Edition and get the Undertaker Immortal Pack, 3-Day Early Access & the Season Pass! Or grab the nWo 4-Life Edition for even more content! https://t.co/i2MT3XM7VM pic.twitter.com/q2HRdzUTwW

The roster page for the game can be found at this link.

This is Mysterio’s third time appearing on the cover of a WWE video game. He previously was featured on the SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 and 2011 covers.

Also, after they skipped a year on these traditional 2K games because 2K20 was considered more broken than ever and was more criticized than ever, they still decide to charge $69.99 US for the PS5 and XBox Series X editions (the previous gen versions are still $59.99), in addition to this deluxe edition. Hope it doesn’t blow up in their faces.

For the love of god, dont preorder this. Wait until you see/read some reviews.
