Due to the MLB World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Dodgers, this coming Friday’s edition of SmackDown is airing on FS1 instead of FOX. WWE announced that following the show, the WWE Backstage program is returning at 10 PM EST and it’ll be an hour-long episode from the WWE ThunderDome.

Due to Game 3 of the 2020 World Series, #SmackDown moves to @FS1 THIS FRIDAY for one week only.

WWE Backstage officially premiered on FS1 in November of 2019 and the show ceased filming in March amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In June, the production of the show was suspended and it was announced that it was no longer going to be a weekly program.

Former WWE host Renee Paquette is still working with FOX Sports and she recently co-hosted the Kickoff show for the season two premiere of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX. It was not noted who’ll be on the forthcoming episode of WWE Backstage but the show’s personnel included Renee, Booker T, Christian, Paige, CM Punk and Ember Moon.
