Highlights from the Clash at the Castle presser.
Following WWE’s Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event in Scotland, talents who competed on the show took the stage for the press conference and finishing it off was Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.
Here are the highlights from his session, followed by bullet points from the session featuring newly crowned WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre.
Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque
- Levesque states that Alba and Isla did not win the belts because of the family tragedy that Alba suffered in May. He added that they earned it.
- After Bayley’s title defense against Piper Niven, people in Gorilla sung happy birthday to Bayley
- He said Chad Gable will be in WWE for a long time to come and wants him to be in WWE forever. He would’ve been happy for Chad if he decided to go elsewhere.
- Levesque is happy for Damian Priest and wants to see him shut down those who think he’s a transitional champion. He’s hoping to get good news about Priest following the scare in the main event.
- He spoke about his history with CM Punk and expressed how happy he is to have Punk back in the company. He is glad to see the Phil Brooks that he wanted to see back in Punk’s first run. Levesque said Punk is a pleasure to be around and is helping others. He wants to work with him to create the WWE that they both always wanted it to be.
- Paul spoke about the ICW Scotland appearance he made in 2017.
- Levesque confirmed that Drew McIntyre will be at Raw.
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn
- Fyre and Dawn agree that Clash at the Castle in Scotland would not be happening without Drew McIntyre and ICW Scotland.
- Dawn wants to take the titles to NXT in addition to Raw and SmackDown. She mentioned Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx as potential opponents.
