Drew McIntyre scored a win over Madcap Moss at WWE Day 1. Following his win, there was a backstage segment with McIntyre and he was ambushed by Moss and Corbin. Their brawl resulted in Corbin and Moss placing McIntyre’s head in between a chair and Corbin using a piece of stage equipment to throw onto McIntyre’s neck. WWE noted that McIntyre suffered a cervical neck strain with severe contusions.

Migos (Quavo, Offset & Takeoff) were present at Day 1 in Atlanta. They accompanied Randy Orton and Riddle to the ring for their Raw Tag Team Title defense against The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins). Orton and Riddle retained and post-match, all parties involved shook hands and stood alongside each other in the ring.

The National Wrestling Alliance’s Sal Rinauro was in attendance. He was shown on-screen dancing to The Street Profits’ theme song.

In the main card opener, The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) successfully defended their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against King Woods and Kofi Kingston. The Usos used the ‘3D’ finisher to secure the win. The move was referred to as ‘1D’ for ‘one and done’.
