Headlining the 10/4 episode of NXT was Butch and Ridge Holland challenging Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) for the NXT Tag Team Championships. Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser cost Butch and Holland the opportunity. Imperium (GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) will take on The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Butch & Ridge Holland) at Extreme Rules in a Donnybrook match. The night before on SmackDown, Sheamus and GUNTHER are going one-on-one for the Intercontinental Championship.
As Pretty Deadly were celebrating their victory, the duos of Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen along with Edris Enofe and Malik Blade stared the tag champions down.

Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark picked up a win over Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. With their win, Lyons and Stark are next in line to challenge Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for the NXT Women’s Tag Titles. A video package highlighting the friendship between Carter and Chance was shown. The video touched on Katana’s hiatus from WWE.
While Sanga was in the backstage area, he ran into Veer Mahaan. They teamed together in late September at an NXT house show.

The field for the North American Title Ladder match at Halloween Havoc is almost full. Von Wagner defeated Andre Chase to secure his spot and next week, Nathan Frazer is taking on Axiom in the final match of their best of three series which will also be for the last spot in the Ladder match. The winner of Axiom versus Frazer will join Carmelo Hayes, Wes Lee, Oro Mensah and Von Wagner in the championship match.
NXT had a new color scheme and ringside set up for tonight’s return to live TV.
The individual sporting the red hoodie that has been around The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid) was formally welcomed into the group. The individual was able to get Cameron Grimes’ attention which allowed for The Schism to ambush him.
As Grayson Waller was hosting his ‘Waller Effect’ show, Apollo Crews dragged him under the ring and when Waller came out, his clothes were ripped and his eyes were bloody.

- Bron Breakker vs. Javier Bernal
- Wes Lee vs. Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo
With Vic Joseph and McKenzie Mitchell out of the U.S. celebrating their wedding, the NXT commentary team consisted of Wade Barrett, Byron Saxton and NXT Level Up announcer Sudu Shah. Kelly Kincaid filled in for McKenzie.
