While Monday’s episode of Raw did experience a decline from the prior week, the show maintained a consistent viewership throughout the show.
Going against the Home Run Derby on ESPN, Raw averaged 2,351,000 viewers on the USA Network, which was a decrease of 6% from the prior week. With the heavier competition from the Home Run Derby, it was an expected drop. The Home Run Derby averaged 5,347,000 viewers going against Raw.
The interesting trend was the consistency of viewership over the three-hour program. In the first hour, the show averaged 2.384 million viewers, has a minor decline to 2.349 in the second hour and the final hour averaged 2.322 million. From start-to-finish, the show only fell by 2.6%.
The decline year-over-year was only 4.4% from this same week in 2018.
Next week’s show has the advantage of no sports competition and coming off a pay-per-view, which has averaged an 8% bump in 2019 from the prior week’s Raw.
